Japanese NASA and 30 local companies team up to create their own reusable space rocket

They, together with 30 local companies and institutions, announced plans to create a reusable launch vehicle. It is expected to be used to significantly reduce the cost of space launches.

So, for example, after switching to the use of a reusable rocket, one launch will cost about 25% of the current launch price of a disposable launch vehicle.

If the joint venture is successful, the first launch vehicle launched by the new association will go into outer space by 2030. As for the timing of the creation of the first prototype of the rocket, this stage should be achieved by 2026.
