Talking about the price hike, Toyota has increased the prices of 4X2 manual transmission and automatic transmission of the Fortuner by Rs 19,000, while the Fortuner Legend and GRS variants have now become costlier by Rs 77,000. Now the new price of Toyota Fortuner starts at Rs 32.59 Lakh and goes up to Rs 50.34 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about the Toyota Innova Crysta, the prices of the diesel variants of the company’s best-selling MPV and the entry-level GX MT petrol variant have been hiked by Rs 23,000. Prices of all other petrol variants have not been changed. After the price hike, the Toyota Innova Crysta price is now available between Rs 18.09 – 26.77 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about Toyota Camry, the company has increased the price of this premium sedan by Rs 90,000. It was earlier made available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 44.35 lakh. Toyota Camry is available in only one variant. After the price hike, the new Camry sedan is now priced at Rs 45.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Vellfire is the company’s flagship luxury MPV in India. Its price has been increased the most by Rs 1.85 lakh. Toyota Vellfire is now available at a price of Rs 94.45 Lakh (Ex-showroom). Toyota has not changed the prices of the Glanza, Urban Cruiser and Highrider.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has sold a total of 15,378 units of vehicles in the domestic market in the month of September. With this the company has registered a growth of 68% in year-on-year sales. The company had sold 9,284 units of passenger vehicles in September last year. This financial year has witnessed an unprecedented growth of 68% in cumulative wholesale sales in the period April to September 2022 as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Talking about Toyota, the company recently launched its first strong hybrid SUV, the Toyota Highrider. The company has made its SUV available at a price of Rs 10.48-18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Highrider is made available with two engine options, Mild Hybrid and Strong Hybrid.

The first engine is the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with which the company is offering the option of mild hybrid and strong hybrid systems. Its mild hybrid variant produces 103 Bhp of power and 137 Nm of torque, while the Strong Hybrid variant produces 116 Bhp of power. The mild hybrid versions are available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is available with both front wheel and all wheel drive options.

For safety, the Toyota Highrider gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, hill hold control, hill descent control, disc brakes on all wheels, 3-point seat belts for rear passenger and tire pressure monitoring system. Huh.
