The Japanese edition of BestCarWeb reported that the premiere of a new generation of the popular Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV will debut in the summer of 2023.
Reportedly, the new Prado was supposed to come out much earlier, but its preparation was affected by a shortage of components. The SUV will be built on the TNGA-F platform (it is also used in the Land Cruiser 300 and the new generation Toyota Tundra) and will retain the frame structure. Fuel efficiency is at the forefront of the project: it is expected that the car will consume about 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers. To do this, they will create a new hybrid power plant based on a 2.8-liter diesel engine.
