The study involved 18,353 adults aged 50 and over. At the same time, they did not have depression. For several years (average 5-7 years) they took vitamin D and / or omega-3 supplements or placebo. It turned out that omega-3 supplements did not affect the mood of the subjects or prevent the development of depression in any way. That is, fish oil did not have any positive or negative effect on mood.
