Last month, many times users had complained about IRCTC being down and once again in the new year, the website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come to a standstill today on Saturday. Due to this, users faced difficulty in booking train tickets. According to Downdetector, 36% of users have complained about the app, 30% about the website and 35% about ticketing issues.
Frustrated users shared on social media a screenshot of an error message on the website, which read, “Booking and cancellation will not be available for all sites for the next hour. Deeply sorry for the inconvenience.”

Got success after trying again and again, but of no use
Some users kept trying continuously when the website was down. After repeated attempts, he was successful in logging in, but still he was disappointed. Because the maximum time for Tatkal ticket booking had already passed.
A frustrated user posted on X that this is not the first time that the IRCTC website has faced such problems. Recently, a similar problem occurred due to maintenance work, due to which both booking and cancellation of e-tickets were disrupted.
Another said that there was massive disruption in the IRCTC app and website again today. Booking page is not opening. Who is responsible for it? People are facing inconvenience, Honorable Minister.
A third user said that IRCTC remains closed during rush hour. If after the site comes back I am unable to get only premium tatkal tickets online. So this is clearly a big scam in the festive season!!
