While the company has not officially confirmed any details, recent leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Air will focus on design and lightness—potentially at the cost of battery capacity. According to MacRumors, the device could feature a battery smaller than 3000mAh, possibly around 2800mAh, which would be significantly lower than the 4674mAh battery found in the iPhone 16 Plus.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be just 5.5mm thick, which limits space for a larger battery. However, it will come with iOS 26 and a new Adaptive Power Mode, designed to improve energy efficiency.
