iPhone 17 Air Leak Hints at Thinner Design, Camera Upgrade, and Major Changes

Apple iPhone 17 Air May Be the Thinnest iPhone Yet — Big Camera and Design Changes Leaked

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air has been making headlines for months, mainly because it could be the thinnest iPhone ever. New details continue to emerge almost daily.

This time, there’s strong speculation about the screen protector of the iPhone 17 Air, suggesting a possible design change. Well-known leaker Majin Bu recently shared an image that sparked the discussion.

According to the image, the front-facing camera on the iPhone 17 Air may shift to the left side of the Dynamic Island, a change from the right-side placement seen in recent iPhone models. The screen protector appears to be specially designed for the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. It also hints that Apple might be changing internal components to achieve a record-slim profile. Some reports claim the iPhone 17 Air could be just 5.5 mm thick.

Front Camera Upgrade Expected

According to a report by India Today, all models in the iPhone 17 series — including the Air — are expected to feature a new 24MP front camera, an upgrade from the 12MP sensor used in the iPhone 16 series. However, in the leaked image, the front cameras on the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max still appear on the right side of the Dynamic Island.
