The flagship iPhone 14 Pro Max offers the best smartphone display on the market, according to DisplayMate Labs.
Winning DisplayMate’s “Best Smartphone Display Award” with an A+ display performance rating, the iPhone 14 Pro Max replaces last year’s winner, the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Apple has added a number of notable improvements. The LTPO OLED display runs at 1Hz to 120Hz instead of 10Hz to 120Hz, enabling an always-on, low-power display.
iPhone 14 Pro Max can reach peak brightness of 2300 cd/m2, which is more than double that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. At the same time, Apple advertises a peak brightness of 2000 cd / m2. Maximum HDR brightness was 1590 cd/m according to DisplayMate2which is 33% more than the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max screen won a total of 15 awards compared to 13 for the iPhone 13 Pro Max display. DisplayMate reports that Apple has focused on improving OLED’s absolute picture quality and absolute color accuracy with factory-accurate display calibration that DisplayMate experts say is “visually indistinguishable from perfect.”
