iPhone 14 has already fallen in price and is sold at a price below the recommended one due to low demand in China

Since the start of pre-orders for new Apple smartphones, it has become clear that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the most popular models. At the same time, the demand for the iPhone 14 turned out to be low, because the smartphone did not receive obvious differences from the iPhone 13.

Now, Chinese stores are reporting that the iPhone 14 is being sold at a lower price than on Apple’s official website due to lower-than-expected demand.

Judging by the price list of dealers on Monday, the official price of the iPhone 14 version with 128 GB of flash memory is $855, but stores have already lowered prices to $840. The 256GB flash version costs $985 in the Apple store, but retailers sell it for $940. The price of the 512 GB version has dropped from $1,240 to $1,100.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, demand for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models was sluggish, with presale results worse than those of the iPhone SE 3 and iPhone 13 mini.

After analyzing the small demand for the iPhone 14, as well as the sluggish user response to the iPhone 14 Plus, Apple decided to release more iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.
