The American startup SPARQ Inc. has unveiled a device designed for car self-diagnosis. Dubbed SPARQ Diagnostics, this new product is equipped to detect and analyze over 50,000 fault codes and operates in conjunction with a smartphone.
According to the manufacturer, SPARQ Diagnostics is compatible with most vehicles, spanning various brands, manufactured in 1996 or earlier. The device connects to vehicles via a universal OBD-II diagnostic connector.
A standout feature of this new product is its integration of AI algorithms, tasked with various functions. These algorithms enable the device to study, analyze, and predict necessary repair and maintenance tasks based on the specific car model, its characteristics, and the driver’s behavior on the road.
It’s worth noting that SPARQ Diagnostics is certified by multiple automakers and is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones, connecting via Bluetooth. All vehicle condition information is conveniently displayed within the mobile application.
The device itself boasts dimensions of 6.2 x 4.5 x 2.1 cm, housed in an aluminum body. During the crowdfunding stage, SPARQ Diagnostics is priced at $299, with retail availability slated for May 2024 at a cost of $499.
