Intel will indeed release a 6 GHz Core processor. It will probably be called the Core i9-13900KS, although the company hasn’t said anything about it.
The company spoke about this CPU separately at the same event where introduced the new Raptor Lake and video card Arc A770.
The novelty will debut only next year and in limited quantities. How much Intel will ask for a new CPU is still unknown. For example, the Core i9-12900KS started at $740, which is $150 more than the Core i9-12900K. Considering that the Core i9-13900K is also priced at $590, like its predecessor, we can assume that the Core i9-13900KS will cost the same $740 as the previous generation model.
What will be the power consumption of the new CPU, so far we can only guess.
