Intel will make future processors less power hungry

Users discovered a corresponding Intel patent. The patent application says that the processors can accommodate an additional voltage regulator in parallel with the main one. This helps to reduce the power consumption of the processor core. The document explains that this power supply modification is relatively cheap to implement.

It is reported that the use of DLVR will reduce the voltage on the processor by 160 mV, which will lead to a reduction in power consumption by 20-25%. And a 21% reduction in power consumption will help you achieve a 7% increase in productivity.

The 13th Gen Intel Raptor Lake processors are due out in late 2022.
