Intel plans to raise prices for its products

Intel has told customers that it will raise prices on most of its microprocessors and peripheral chips later this year. This will happen, Nikkei Asia has learned, due to rising costs.

There are no details yet, therefore it is not known how much the prices will rise and for which positions. However, it is possible that the increase in cost will affect all the main lines of mass CPUs. Note that since the beginning of the year, the cost of processors has already increased by 25%. At the same time, the company promises to use every opportunity to optimize costs and reduce the price of its products. However, this will be difficult to do, given the shortage of raw materials and lockdowns in China.

Also in a recent financial report from Intel talked about the problems of the semiconductor market and how to solve them. Representatives of the company said that the manufacturer’s warehouses are literally clogged with processors, despite the shortage and problems with logistics. However, analysts expect an increase in demand for electronics, which will quickly deplete these stocks.

In addition, Intel intends to expand the range of graphics cards, which will attract new customers.
