Intel decided not to make new mobile processors, but to sell old ones? First Mobile Raptor Lake Leaks Show They’re Not New CPUs

It seems that Intel is not going to release new processors in the mobile segment. More precisely, there will be new models, but probably they will only be renamed old ones.

The fact is that mobile CPUs Core i9-13900HK and Core i7-13700H lit up on the Web. They are labeled the same as the Raptor Lake generation desktop solutions. But there is a nuance.

As you can see, L2 cache is 1.25 MB per core, the same as Alder Lake, while Raptor Lake is upped to 2 MB.

And one could doubt or think that this is just a software error, but it is worth remembering that in the Raptor Lake desktop line only top models will be fully new processors, starting with the Core i5K, while all the rest will be renamed and slightly overclocked representatives of the Alder Lake line. Apparently, for the mobile segment, Intel decided not to develop a new chip at all.

But Intel will not leave the novelty completely unchanged. The Core i9-13900HK will run at up to 5.3 GHz and the Core i7-13700H up to 4.95 GHz. This is respectively 300 MHz and 250 MHz more than its predecessors.

The announcement of mobile innovations by Intel is expected early next year.
