The team behind the popular messaging app WhatsApp has announced the launch of a new feature designed to help people find businesses, exchange messages with them and buy their products on WhatsApp.
As the developers note, users need a way to easily and quickly get information or help from the millions of small businesses and tens of thousands of brands that are present on WhatsApp. Businesses can now be searched directly on WhatsApp by category (such as tourism or banking) or by company name. You no longer have to search for phone numbers on the Internet or write them down in contacts.
Having found the right organization, you can immediately buy the offered goods or services – open a bank account, buy a transport ticket and order food.
Initially, the Business Finder feature is available in Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Colombia, and the United Kingdom for users of the WhatsApp Business platform. In addition, in Brazil, a new feature will allow you to search for small businesses.
