Sensex Market Cap: The top-10 companies of the Sensex have benefited from the boom in the stock market. The market cap of 8 out of 10 Sensex companies has increased by Rs 98,234.82 crore. During this, companies in the IT sector have benefited immensely. The mcaps of Infosys and TCS have been good.
HDFC and HDFC Bank declined
The BSE Sensex has gained 817.68 points or 1.42 per cent last week. Among the top-10 companies, only HDFC and HDFC Bank have declined.
Infosys-TCS increased market cap
The market cap of Infosys has increased by Rs 28,170.02 crore to Rs 6,80,182.93 crore. Apart from this, the mcap of TCS has increased by Rs 23,582.58 crore to Rs 12,31,362.26 crore.
RIL’s market cap increased by how much?
The market cap of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) increased by Rs 17,048.21 crore to Rs 17,14,256.39 crore and that of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 13,861.32 crore to Rs 5,83,261.75 crore.
LIC also benefited
The market cap of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by Rs 6,008.75 crore to Rs 4,34,748.72 crore and that of Bajaj Finance increased by Rs 5,709.2 crore to Rs 4,42,157.08 crore.
The valuation of State Bank of India rose by Rs 2,186.53 crore to Rs 4,73,584.52 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) rose by Rs 1,668.21 crore to Rs 6,21,220.18 crore.
The reduced market cap of these companies
HDFC’s market cap declined by Rs 4,599.68 crore to Rs 4,27,079.97 crore. At the same time, the market cap of HDFC Bank has come down by Rs 4,390.73 crore to Rs 7,92,860.45.
