The owner of this soap company, K. C. Das fixed the rate of Margo soap in such a way that every class of man can buy that product in the market. In those days, people bought this soap from hand to hand and within a few years the company had to open a manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu as well. Margo was the rage of soaps in the 1990s. You can also understand this that in 1988 its share in the Indian market was more than 8 percent. This soap was later bought by Henkel Company for Rs 75 crore. In the year 2011, Jyothi Laboratories bought all the rights related to this brand. Now this company sells facewash, handwash and sanitizer in addition to soap under the brand name Margo. Apart from this, Neem Toothpaste is sold under the brand name Neem Active.
