Tickets will not be booked without verification
According to the rules of IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, now it is necessary for users to verify mobile number and e-mail ID before booking tickets. Without the verification of e-mail id and mobile number, you will not be able to book tickets online.

Get this done mobile and e-mail verification
Go to the IRCTC app or website and click on the verification window.
Here you have to enter your registered mobile number and e-mail id.
After entering both the information, click on the Verify button.
After clicking on Verify, OTP will come on your mobile, enter it and verify the mobile number.
Similarly, after entering the code received on the e-mail id, your mail id will be verified.
Now you can book tickets online for any train from your account.

Now you will be able to book 24 tickets
. Another big news for railway passengers is that the railways has increased the limit of booking maximum tickets in a month from 12 to 24 on one user ID of IRCTC. Yes, now you can book 24 tickets in a month with Aadhaar linked user ID. Earlier this number was 12. Similarly, 12 tickets can be booked instead of 6 from the account which is not linked with Aadhaar.
