A well-known autoblogger, TV presenter and author of the YouTube channel “Ivan Zenkevich PRO Cars”, which has more than 1.1 million subscribers, spoke about Indian cars that should appear in Russia.
Ivan Zenkevich believes that they will be able to compete with the domestic auto industry, since their main advantage is their low price.
There is the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors, which has been supplying us with cars for a long time, especially trucks. It will be difficult for them to compete with the current models of the Chinese auto industry, but they will be able to compete 100% with ours. Also, they will compete with “yesterday’s Chinese” and there will be demand, since they are much cheaper. I think there will be success.

He added that in India there are a lot of outdated equipment that has been produced since the 60s of the last century, since their consumer is unassuming. Ivan Zenkevich expressed the hope that old models would not be imported into Russia.
Formerly Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov declared that discussions about the appearance of Indian cars in Russia continue. He later added that Russia was ready to discuss the supply of Indian cars to the country, however no official proposals yet.
