In terms of technology, India is not behind in competing with the big countries of the world. If we talk about 5G, then India is expanding 5G faster than countries like America and Europe. Yes, now India is planning to bring not only 5G but also 6G. The Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi attended a program on March 23, 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan. Here, Modi inaugurated the new International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Area Office and Innovation Center in India. During this program, the Prime Minister spoke about the India 6G vision document and launched the 6G R&D test bed. According to the statement issued by the PMO, the PM addressed the gathering along with launching the Call Before You Dig app. Let us tell you that ITU is the specialized agency of information and communication technology of the United Nations. Its headquarters is in Geneva. The agency, with a network of field offices, regional offices and area offices, had partnered with ITU in March 2022 to start area offices in India.

The India 6G vision document has been prepared by the Technology Innovation Group for 6G (TIG-6G).
