According to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the passenger car segment exported 42 per cent to 3,74,986 units, while the utility vehicle segment saw an increase of 46 per cent to 2,01,036 units. Van exports increased to 1,853 units in FY 2021-22 from 1,648 units in FY 2020-21.
In terms of exports, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) was the leader, followed by Hyundai Motor India and Kia India. MSI exported 2,35,670 passenger vehicles during the period under review, which is more than double the previous fiscal. (agency)
