Out of these 200 vehicles, 120 vehicles have been given to the Security Force while 80 vehicles have been given to the Election Commission of Nepal. Nepal being a mountainous region, Mahindra’s all-terrain model will be very beneficial for the Scorpio. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that India has gifted vehicles to Nepal.
India has donated over 2400 vehicles to Nepal for various authorities including Nepal Police and Armed Police Forces. Elections to the 165-member House of Representatives or the lower house of parliament in Nepal will be held on November 20.
The Ambassador of India, handing over the keys of the vehicles to the Minister, said, “I hope these vehicles will help in arranging election programs by the Government of Nepal.” He also wished for effective and efficient conduct of elections in Nepal.
