In the United States invented a “smart” catamaran for looking after oysters

The development is called Oystamaran. The catamaran has already been tested at one of the American oyster farms. The essence of the work is to turn over the cages with oysters to cleanse them of barnacles, algae and other marine organisms. Oystamaran, under the control of the operator, clamps the cage between the floats, and with the help of a manipulator it digests it.

When turned over in time, the organisms dry out under the influence of air and sunlight and fall off the oyster cages. This provides the oysters with the water needed for the shellfish to grow.

It is assumed that in the future “oyster” catamarans will be fully autonomous and replace people in the maintenance of oyster cages.
