So, only in the first two weeks of March, Telegram increased its share in the total messenger traffic from 48 to 63%. At the same time, the share of WhatsApp, on the contrary, decreased – from 48 to 32%. Thanks to this, the brainchild of Pavel Durov managed to become a leader among similar applications.
Interestingly, Telegram also became the leader in the consumption of mobile traffic per day. One user spends an average of 101 MB of traffic per day on it, while WhatsApp users spend only 26 MB.
