In Russia, mobile operators have blocked 2.5 million SIM-cards

Such measures began to be implemented in connection with the amendments to the law “On the connection” that came into force in June. According to the document, SIM-cards of employees of companies that use corporate tariffs, but are not registered with the Unified identification and authentication system, must be blocked. The last reporting date was November 30. These include numbers that have not been used since the amendments were adopted.

As noted, the operator that blocked the largest number of such numbers was Beeline.
