Russia and the UAE have begun negotiations on the modernization of the “Shells” supplied to the country in 2008-2013. The Polish authors concluded that this would be an additional incentive for further orders for Russian weapons. The supply of air defense missile systems from Russia was questioned after the “Pantsir” suffered during the conflicts in Syria and Libya.
At the same time, according to Defense24, in their assessments, the Russians seem to completely ignore the information, which comes mainly from Syria and Libya, about the unsatisfactory effectiveness of the Pantsir in the fight against drones and high-precision ammunition.
Another problem of the complex is called the radar, because of which the air defense missile system is unable to act against low-flying maneuvering missiles, for example, the Israeli Delilah and the French Storm Shadow.
