Gennady Svidersky, CEO of the BelGee Belarusian company, which assembles Geely cars, including for Russia, shared his plans for the future. So, according to the top manager, a new batch of Geometry C electric cars will be assembled by the end of the year, but the company is already eyeing a new electric car – Geometry E.
Now the Belarusian plant is negotiating with Geely on obtaining documentation and adapting such cars. Gennady Svidersky promised: if the dialogue goes well next year, the model will appear in Belarus (and, possibly, in Russia).
However, Geely electric vehicles are not cheap, so work is underway to prepare for the production of more affordable cars. For the budget segment, BelGee collaborated with JAC. Enterprises have developed two versions of the E10X, which have been extensively tested.
“This electric car has more modest parameters, but the price is appropriate (according to preliminary estimates, $12,000). However, an electric car, even with such characteristics, in our opinion, can find its buyer. There are some organizational issues with JAC, so we transferred all technical developments to the Unison plant so that it could present these models in the future“, – said Gennady Svidersky.
JAC E10X, aka Sol E10X, is already well known – the model debuted in China over a year ago. It is manufactured by JAC Volkswagen. The car is equipped with two electric motors with a capacity of 41 and 61 hp. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive, the maximum speed is limited at around 102 km / h. The car is equipped with traction batteries of three capacity options: 15 kWh (power reserve up to 150 km according to the NEDC cycle), 19.7 kWh – 200 km, 30.2 kWh – 302 km.
The equipment of the JAC E10X is Spartan: in the basic version there is only one airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, power windows and exterior mirrors. In the top versions – keyless entry and start, cruise control, a large-screen media system, wireless phone charging.
