Google has introduced a major educational update for students in India. Students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) can now take free JEE mock tests with the help of Gemini AI. This new feature aims to provide students with an accurate assessment of their preparation and help them focus on weaker topics.
According to Google, this feature has been specifically designed for students aspiring to gain admission to top engineering institutions like the IITs.
Announcement at India AI Summit 2026
This feature was announced during the India AI Summit 2026. Google has developed the JEE prep mock tests in collaboration with Careers360 and Physics Wallah. Previously, Google had also launched SAT prep tests in Gemini, which are for students preparing for higher education in the US.
How will Gemini’s JEE Mock Test work?
Using the JEE mock test on Gemini is quite simple. Students just need to type a simple prompt, such as:
“I want to take a JEE test”
Gemini AI will then automatically generate the complete mock test.
It is said that the difficulty level of these questions will be very close to the actual JEE exam, giving students a realistic exam experience.
Gemini will tell you where you went wrong
. After completing the mock test, Gemini will also tell students:
. Which questions they answered incorrectly
. Which topics are weak
Which chapters need more attention
Not only that, students can also directly ask Gemini to explain any question or concept step-by-step.
Available in Multiple Languages
Google says that the JEE prep feature will be made available in several Indian languages so that students from diverse backgrounds can benefit from it. This will also give students from rural areas and smaller cities a better opportunity to prepare.
Google to Introduce More Exam Prep Tests
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has already indicated that more prep tests for other competitive exams will be added to Gemini in the future. They claim that Gemini is able to provide students with instant and accurate feedback through verified content.
Gemini is being used most in India
According to Google, Gemini is being used most for learning and studying in India. This includes tackling real-world problems as well as exam preparation. In this context, the JEE mock test feature could prove to be a major game-changer for students.
