New Delhi: Duplicate Pan Card: PAN card is one of the required documents. All these things can be done easily if you have a PAN card while paying income tax, taking a policy, opening a bank account or taking a loan. Also, if you do not have a PAN card, many important tasks can be delayed. If it is lost or damaged for any reason, a duplicate PAN card can be obtained from the Income Tax Department and it can be used in place of the original Pan card. Duplicate PAN card is just as valid as the original card. The process of getting a duplicate PAN card is much easier than applying for a new card. Let’s learn its step by step process.
When can I order a duplicate PAN card?
Your original Pan Card was lost, damaged or stolen. So, you can request a duplicate. You can request it even if there are any changes to the address, signature and other details.
Duplicate PaNo. Follow these steps to apply for the card
First visit the official portal of TIN-NSDL. (https://www.tin-nsdl.com/) Go to the Quick Links section in the left corner. Then go to “Apply Pan for Online” under Online PAN service. Scroll down to Reprint of PAN card. Click on the link below the details section to reprint the PAN card. When clicked, the Request for Reprint of PAN Card online application page will open in front of you. Fill in all the required details here. Your PAN number, your Aadhaar number, the number linked to your PAN card and year of birth. Check the Information Declaration box, enter the captcha code and submit the application. Confirm all the details and select a mode to receive OTP.
Enter the OTP and verify it. Choose payment method. If PAN is to be sent to India, the cost will be Rs. If you want to send it outside India, it will cost Rs 959. Also, you have the option to order an e-PAN card instead of a duplicate physical PAN card. Complete the required payment. You will then be given a Receipt Number for your record.
