license will be registered online
Let us inform that all the documents related to the vehicle across the country have been made online on the vehicle portal of the Ministry of Transport. It also includes driving license information. The ministry has earlier issued an order to register online driving license and other important vehicle documents made through offline process.
Let us tell you that before the year 2002, all driving licenses were made offline. The records of the licenses generated through this process were kept by the local RTOs in their offline records or register books. However, now all RTOs in the country have been made online and the records of vehicles are being kept digitally. In such a situation, there is a problem in updating the old driving license made through the offline process.
Let us tell you that from the vehicle portal, you can apply for all work related to learning license, renewal, duplicate or correction sitting at home. All the documents related to the vehicle are kept in digital format on the VAHAN portal. This makes it easy to track vehicle records and retrieve information about the challan or penalty associated with it. According to the information, the link of backlog entry on the vehicle portal will remain open till March 12. After that this feature will be turned off.
