The bookings for Mahindra Scorpio-N crossed 1.50 lakhs last month but at present only an average of 7000 units are being delivered. In such a situation, the waiting period of this SUV is continuously increasing. Despite this waiting period, the enthusiasm of the customers about the Scorpio-N has not diminished and bookings are still being received at a fast pace.
Recently, a user also shared the picture of the delivery timeline on social media, in which it can be seen that their delivery time is 17 September – 17 October 2024. This booking was done last month for the Z4G variant. It is currently in the state under planning and has not gone into production yet. After production, it will be sent to the dealers, then only this SUV will be available to the customer.
In order to provide accurate delivery timeline information to Mahindra Scorpio-N customers, the company had brought the new tool at the time of its launch. The company is giving preference to the J8 L variant of the SUV on delivery. Its Z6 and Z8 variants have been booked the most, so if you book the Z8 variant now, the waiting period can easily exceed 2 years.
However, there is a waiting period of 18 – 20 months for the top variant of the Scorpio-N, the Z8 L. Talking about the deliveries, Mahindra has assured to deliver the J8 L variant to the first 25,000 customers in two months. The Scorpio-N is also made available with two engine options, manual and automatic gearbox and 2X2 with 4X4 drivetrain option.
Petrol and diesel engine options have been given in Scorpio-N. Its 2.0 turbo petrol engine produces 200 Bhp of power along with 270 Nm of torque. At the same time, the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is available in two state options. Its lower version provides power of 132 bhp and torque of 300 Nm. Whereas its higher version generates 175 bhp and 370 Newton meter torque. It has the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
Mahindra Scorpio-N was launched at a price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price of its top variant goes up to Rs 23.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This SUV has been made available in 6 and 7 seater.
This is the third model from Mahindra which has such a long waiting period. The company’s Thar, XUV700 received a great response but the waiting period was not that long, but with the Scorpio-N, the waiting period has become very long. To reduce this as soon as possible, the company will have to improve production.
