Before the beginning of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Aaj Tak’s Dharma Sansad has started. Religious gurus and political stalwarts are participating in the Dharma Sansad who are giving their views on many issues. BJP leader and UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, who participated in the Dharma Sansad, said that the difference between the earlier and now Kumbhs is continuously increasing. This figure has come that 24 crore people took a dip in the Sangam in the Ardh Kumbh of 2019.
UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said in Aaj Tak’s Dharma Sansad that it is a matter of good fortune for me, India is filled with the spirit of Atithi Devo Bhava and Devraj Prayag, where Ardh Kumbh is organized every six years, Maha Kumbh is organized every 12 years and Magh is organized every year. Festival. It is true to say that being residents of Prayag, we are also hosts. And the main deity here is known as Lord Medi Madhav Ji. He handles the arrangements for this complete event. We are just symbols.
24 crore people took bath in Ardh Kumbh
When he was asked what is the difference between the earlier Kumbh and this Kumbh. Responding to this, he said that this is why the difference between before and now is increasing. 24 crore people took bath in the Ardh Kumbh of 2019. Such a figure has come, according to that figure when 24 crore people had come in Ardh Kumbh, then Mahakumbh 2025, about which it is said that this is a rare coincidence and such Kumbh is coming after 144 years. I had fulfilled my responsibility while being in the government in 2019 and I am fulfilling my responsibility in 2025 also. When Mahakumbh took place in 2013, I was an MLA. At that time Samajwadi Party was in government. At that time the pilgrims had to face chaos. Akhilesh had handed over the reins of Kumbh to Azam Khan, due to which arrangements should have been made in the fair. There were no such arrangements. But in 2019 we had stressed that there should not be any arrangement.
He said that efforts are being made to make more spectacular arrangements for the Mahakumbh of 2025 than those of 2019. The arrangements that are still pending will also be completed before the start of the fair.
Targeted at SP
Keshav Prasad, while targeting Samajwadi Party, said that they made their glass house and themselves threw stones in it. If he had not talked about 2013, be it Akhilesh Yadav or any SP leader, perhaps no one would have asked him questions. The plight of the Kumbh held during Akhilesh’s tenure cannot be expressed in words.
Praising Aaj Tak’s program Dharma Sansad, Deputy CM said that the message of Kumbh is also being sent to the country and the world from the banks of Mother Ganga.
‘Double engine government benefits’
Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, Keshav Prasad said that see, the double engine government definitely has the advantage that the central government helps the state. If the work of taking help is done the way it should be done, then the Narendra Modi government is ready for continuous development work. The only pain in the stomach for the opposition is why Kumbh is going so well.
At the same time, when he was asked whether these big events are connected with elections, he said that Kumbh has been organized for ages. The program of Ramlal’s life dedication was linked to the self-respect of the nation. It was not an election related topic. Mahakumbh of Prayagraj is not a part of the elections. Elections keep coming and going, in a democracy elections are held every five years. Wherever elections are being held, we are winning them and will definitely form the government for the third time in UP.
What a big challenge Mahakumbh is!
It is such a big gathering, such a large number of people do not gather at one place for one purpose. Today, 40 to 50 crore people are expected to attend the world’s largest gathering i.e. Mahakumbh. So the preparations are ours. But we accept the challenges, for which we have deployed our machinery, they will help the people and behave well.
Muslims are not allowed to set up shops in Kumbh?
Answering this question, he said that this is not a government order. The order is that everyone comes here with a sacred feeling, if someone is a Kalpavasi then he is performing rituals. So neither drinks water nor eats food from the Kumbh Mela area. Sages and saints have their own sadhana. No one should do anything to create disturbance in their sadhana. Such an expectation is from the fair administration and the government. But there is no feeling of discrimination towards anyone. Anyone who wants to come to the fair is welcome. But there is no need to publicize it in such a way that there is a ban on anyone coming.
Is there Waqf land here also?
He said that if I say this then when Islam was not born. Since then Kumbh is happening. The age of Islam is 14 hundred years. Kumbh is for ages. If someone talks about Waqf then it is a very poor way of getting publicity. The people of the entire country should condemn such people. Such statements have no importance.
Speaking on the issue of Harihar Temple in Sambhal, Keshav Prasad said that see, as a person of faith, the information about Harihar Temple is also in our scriptures. But we respect the judiciary and this matter is also under consideration of the judiciary. We work in this country with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
‘If someone is sitting around the mosque…’
Answering a question, he said that if there was a temple and it is being achieved then there is a need for dialogue, not dispute. If any temple was closed due to fear or apprehension, then if someone wants to worship there, then it is our responsibility as the government to fulfill that responsibility. If there is any temple, Dharamshala or any religious place somewhere or there is any place where the mosque is also surrounded in this way, then let them know and they too should take it to their religious place. The job of the government is to maintain law and order.
