Hyundai Venue Safety Features: Hyundai’s upcoming Xeter micro-SUV will be the first sub-4 meter SUV in the country to get 6 airbags as standard. The Exeter will get driver, passenger, curtain and side airbags across all trims. Along with this, the E and S entry level trims of Exeter will also get around 26 safety features, including ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), 3-point seat belts for all seats And dashcam with seatbelt reminder, ABS with EBD, burglar alarm, dual camera, TPMS, ISOFIX, headlamp escort function, rear parking camera etc. will also be available. Dashcam is also a safety feature and this feature is also available in Venue N Line.
powertrain
Currently, the Xtor will be equipped with a 1.2L petrol engine with CNG option in the country, which will get the option of AMT and 5-speed manual transmission. However, the CNG version will be available for only a few trims. It will not get any diesel engine or turbo petrol engine like Venue.
Special feature of 6 airbags
Coming with 6 airbags as standard is a huge plus point for the Exeter as 6 airbags are generally not available in this segment due to high cost and even some high segment SUVs don’t come with this feature come.
Will be launched in August
Xeter is expected to be launched in August this year. It will be placed below the Venue in the company’s lineup and will be the entry level SUV for the company. Hyundai has confirmed that it will get a rear camera and many other features. Exeter will compete with Tata Punch. It will further strengthen Hyundai’s SUV portfolio with the Venue and Creta in the sub-Rs 15 lakh SUV space.
