Hyundai Verna: Hyundai has issued a recall for the CVT model of its Verna sedan in India. Hyundai is directly notifying owners of vehicles affected by this recall. Under this recall, customers who have received information about the return of their car can contact their nearest service center.
Why did Hyundai recall otherwise?
The recall for Hyundai Verna CVT is for inspection and correction of an error in the electronic oil pump controller. Hyundai will inspect and replace the part free of cost and customers are advised to visit the nearest service center after receiving notification from Hyundai.
Kia Seltos also faced problem
Recently, the same problem was found with Kia vehicles, which were also recalled. In the case of Kia, around 4,300 units of Seltos were affected and the carmaker fixed the issue free of cost.

Hyundai Verna sedan competes with cars like Honda City, Volkswagen Vertes, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in the Indian market. All these cars are available with a 1.5 L petrol engine as standard, while the Vertes and Slavia also get the option of a 1.0L turbo petrol engine.
