Hyundai SUV cheaper than i20, mileage up to 27km; Sunroof will also be available

Hyundai Exter Price And Features: Now hatchbacks seem to be a story of old times because in the present times people are preferring SUVs more. That is why the number of SUVs or crossovers is increasing in the portfolio of car manufacturers. Hyundai is the second largest car selling company in the country. Its portfolio also has more SUVs and less hatchbacks. Hyundai’s i20, Creta and Venue are quite popular in the mass market. But, both Creta and Venue are costlier than the i20. However, its exterior is cheaper than the i20. Exeter is the company’s entry level SUV.

price range

Hyundai i20 prices start at Rs 7.04 lakh and go up to Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. At the same time, the price of Hyundai Exeter starts from Rs 6.13 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. That is, both the base and top models of Exeter are cheaper than the base and top models of i20.

Engine, Transmission and Mileage
This 5-seater micro SUV comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. There is also an option of CNG kit with this. This engine generates 83PS/114Nm on petrol while 69PS/95Nm on CNG. 

The petrol version has the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox, while the petrol-CNG model only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It gives a mileage of up to 19.4kmpl on petrol and 27.1km/kg on CNG.

Features and Competition
Exeter can be called a feature loaded micro SUV. It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4.2-inch digital driver display with MID, wireless phone charger, sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, dash cam with dual cameras, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM and There are many features like hill hold assist. 

It also comes with 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), day-night IRVM, rearview camera and rear defogger. It competes with Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis in the market. However, sales of Punch are much higher than this.
