Hyundai Motor Group plans to sell 4.32 million vehicles in 2022

Hyundai Motor Group today announced that it has set a target of 4.32 million vehicles worldwide for the current year, Reuters reported. For comparison: in 2021, the South Korean automaker managed to sell 4 million vehicles. In other words, the company intends to increase sales by about 8%.

In the New Year’s address, the head of the company said that Hyundai Motor Group “will continue to actively pursue the transition to electrification through its R&D, manufacturing, sales and customer service activities.”

To this end, electric vehicles Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60 were presented in 2021, built on the global modular electric platform E-GMP. The Hyundai IONIQ 6, Genesis GV70 EV, Kia Niro EV and Kia EV6 are slated for 2022. In addition, “in order to further democratize green vehicles”, the company intends to work with global partners to create charging networks around the world.
