The car is Hyundai Ioniq 6, which can be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo to be held in January next month. Along with this, many other cars will also be introduced, including the next generation of otherwise sedans and the Creta facelift. Along with these, the prices of Ioniq 5 electric crossover are to be announced.
Ioniq 6 will be the brand’s third electric car in India. Kona EV is already being sold and booking of Ioniq 5 has started. Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the company’s second product, based on the E-GMP skateboard architecture. Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 are also based on this platform. This skateboard architecture is scalable battery size, rear or all-wheel drive layout, maximum interior size with flat floor and compatible for EV specific dimensions.
Electric sedans will have cameras instead of traditional outdoor rear view mirrors. Flush door handles will be found in it. The rear of the EV features pixels-style LED taillights, ducktail rear spoiler and curved shoulder line. The sedan inside the cabin will have a flat center console, it will feature a dual 12-inch touchscreen for infotainment and driver display. It will have a two-spoke steering wheel. The sedan can be 6 4855mm long, 1880mm wide and 1495mm high, its wheelbase can be 2950mm.
The new Hyundai Ionic 6 has been introduced in two battery size options – 53kWh and 77kWh ( Global ). Single motor meets RWD set-up standard while dual motor comes with AWD option. Dual motors 302bhp and 605Nm while single motors generate 228bhp and 350Nm. RWD version with 53kWh battery has a range of 429km while RWD version with 77.4kWh has a range of 614km and AWD version has a range of 583km.
