Hyundai Creta & Verna Recall News – Hyundai asked for these cars back from customers, are you also in the list?

Hyundai Recall: Hyundai has announced the recall of 7,698 units of Creta SUV and Verna Sedan.

Hyundai Creta & Verna Recall: Hyundai has announced the recall of 7,698 units of Creta SUV and Verna Sedan. This recall is for variants with 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and CVT automatic gearbox manufactured between 13 February 2023 and 6 June 2023. That is, if you have bought a Creta or Verna with 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and CVT manufactured between 13-2-2023 to 6-6-2023, then you can join the recall.

Why the recall?

There is a possibility of malfunction in the electronic oil pump controller in these cars. This may affect the performance of the electronic oil pump. Although this has not been confirmed yet, we believe that Hyundai dealerships will personally contact the customers whose cars are affected by this recall. Additionally, you can personally contact your nearest Hyundai dealership or call 1800-114-645 to find out if your Creta or Verna is included in the recall.

Hyundai has not said whether the recalled Creta and Verna are safe to drive right now but we advise you to find out as soon as possible whether your car is included in the recall or not. If it is involved, get it checked without delay to keep your vehicle in good condition.

remaining engine options

Apart from the 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine mentioned above, Creta and Verna also have the option of 1.5 liter turbo-petrol engine. Creta also has the option of 1.5 liter diesel engine.

These engines are available with the option of 6-speed manual transmission (MT), 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
