Hyundai Creta EV Interior: Hyundai Motor India has been conducting continuous tests on the all-electric version of its popular model, the Creta, in India. The electric SUV, based on the Creta platform, has been spotted testing several times recently, and new spy shots reveal details about its interior.
What was observed in the pictures?
Upon examining the images, it’s evident that the Creta EV will feature a design similar to its ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) counterpart. However, some design elements will set it apart from the standard Creta. These include a blanked-off grille with a front camera, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and new aero-patterned alloy wheels. Notably, the charging flap will be positioned at the front.
Interior
For the first time, the cabin of this SUV will sport a twin-display unit for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. Additionally, the steering wheel will receive a new treatment with a differently styled logo, similar to the ones offered in the company’s EVs sold in the global market. Furthermore, the drive mode selector will be mounted on the steering column.
Hyundai Creta EV
The Creta EV will be equipped with a large battery pack, allowing it to achieve a range of more than 500 km. Recently, Hyundai, along with Kia, has accelerated its EV plans by partnering with Exide Energy for the localization of electric vehicle batteries in India. Consequently, the model’s price may be slightly lower than anticipated, owing to the utilization of locally produced battery technology. Upon launch, the Hyundai Creta EV will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, and MG ZS EV.
