One of the new HUAWEI products shown at MWC 2022 was the MatePad Paper e-reader. In addition to a huge screen for its class, the gadget is interesting with support for the current Wi-Fi 6+ standard, handwriting recognition and other features typical of traditional tablets.
The device received a 10.3-inch E-Ink display with a response speed of 26 ms and support for a stylus that recognizes 4096 pressure levels. Using the accessory, you can take notes with their further translation into printed text. In addition, the novelty has the functions of a voice recorder and video playback. Other features are also announced: work with e-mail, calendars and some applications available for download from the built-in HUAWEI store.
The gadget is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 64 GB. Its claimed autonomy in standby mode is up to four weeks, and charging is carried out using a universal USB Type-C port. Another feature of the novelty was a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The reader is available in three colors: khaki, blue and black.
The cost of new items is €499. The manufacturer will publish the date of the start of sales and the list of delivery regions later.
