Whether you know it or not, a lot of your personal information is collected on the Internet. Most of the websites and apps are tracking you to know about the behavior and preferences for marketing.
This is also because with the help of this information, these apps try to improve the experience for you. But what if they are tracking your location even when the apps are closed, then it is a matter of concern.
First find out which apps have location data access and which apps need it. Before you start cutting off access to your location data apps, a good first step is to understand which apps really need your location data.
Some apps even ask for your location tracking access for no specific purpose. These include movie ticket booking platforms, photo editing software, streaming platforms and apps like social media.
Don’t worry, today we are going to tell you how you can remove the location permission of apps.
Step 1: Go to the Settings of your Android phone.
Step 2: Go to the Permission Manager present in the Privacy option and select Location.
Note: Here you will find apps under “Allowed all the time” and “Allowed only while in use” categories. Apps in the first category can access your phone’s location “all the time” and apps in the second category can only find the location when you turn them on.
Step 3: Tap on the app whose location permission you want to turn off.
Note: This is where you can also decide when an app can access your location. Selecting “Allow all the time” or “Allow only while using the app” as well as “Ask every time” will prompt the app to ask you for location permissions every time you open it. The last option “Don’t allow” will completely turn off location access for the app.
Step 4: If you want to turn off Location Permission, then you have to select the option “Don’t Allow”.
To change location permissions in iPhone, you have to go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and here you can turn off and change location service for apps just like on Android.
