New Delhi. Apple has rolled out beta update iOS 16.2. After this update, iPhone users will start getting the benefit of 5G internet service. Right now this service will be available only to the customers of Jio and Airtel using iPhone. Let’s know how 5G service will be available on iPhone in India… If Reliance Jio and Airtel users are part of iOS 16 beta software program then they can start using 5G on their iPhones.

Which models will get 5G? All models of iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series are 5G-enabled, iPhone SE (2022) is also 5G enabled in India. Keep in mind that even if you are in the beta program, and you have an old iPhone, you will not be able to use 5G.

Who Can Enroll in the iOS 16 Beta Software Program?
It is open to anyone who has an Apple ID. You only need to accept the Apple Beta Software Program Agreement during the sign-up process.

​How to enroll for the Apple Beta Software Program?
1) Go to the Apple Beta Software Program page and click on Sign Up.
2) Register with your Apple ID and login to the Beta Software Program.
3) Tap on ‘Enroll your iOS device’ and then go to tobeta.apple.com/profile on your iPhone.
4) Go to Settings, and download and install the configuration profile.
5) Once the profile is downloaded, go to General > Software Update > ‘Install Beta Version’.

​Can Users Leave the Apple Beta Software Program?
Yes, users can absolutely do that. To leave the program, visit the Unenroll page and follow the instructions to remove your Apple ID from the Apple Beta Software Program.

As mentioned this is a beta update, it is always advised that users should back up their iPhone before installing beta software. There may be some bugs in it which may cause some problems.

​How to Switch to 5G Mode on iPhone?
To enable 5G on iPhone: Go to Settings, then tap on Mobile Data, and then click on Mobile Data option and finally go to Voice & Data option. Here you will find two 5G modes – 5G on and 5G auto. You can choose any one of them to run 5G on your iPhone.
