This can come in handy when you switch your device and need to customize Chrome to your liking. With your data backed up, you can easily pick up where you left off on your previous device.
Back up your bookmarks and passwords using Chrome Sync
One of the advantages of backing up your passwords and bookmarks using Chrome Sync is that you can access your data from any other device by logging into your Google Account. This also comes in handy if you want to access bookmarks and passwords saved on your smartphone.
Step 1: Click on your profile icon on the Chrome toolbar. You can find it in the upper left corner of the browser window.
Step 2: Make sure you are logged in. Then ‘Turn on sync.’ Click on
Step 3: Select Settings in the window.
Step 4: ‘Manage what you sync.’ Click on You can either sync everything or customize what you sync. If you only want to sync your bookmarks and passwords, choose the latter and choose Bookmarks and Passwords from the list below.
Step 5: Go to the previous window and click on ‘Confirm.’ choose. Chrome will begin syncing your data and you’ll be able to access them from any other device after you sign in using your Google Account.
