How to Add and Delete Columns in Google Docs

 

Google Docs: Users may often feel the need to add a column between the text in the Google Docs file for better understanding. But did you know that you can easily add and remove a column in a Google Docs document? You can do this according to your need, but today we are going to tell you how.

Make Text Into Columns

step 1: First, open a document in Google Docs.
Step 2: Now select the text you want to place in the column.
Step 3: Now click on Format > Columns.
Step 4: After that make changes and click on apply.

Remove Column Format (Remove Column Format)

step 1: Select the columns you want to change.
Step 2: Now click on Format> Columns> 1 column.

You are also allowed to add column breaks in Google Docs. Column breaks start the next text at the top of the next column, similar to page breaks.

step 1: Open the document in Google Docs.
Step 2: Now click on the part of the column where you want to add a break.
Step 3: Then click on Insert > Break > Column Break.
These features are not available for documents that are in pageless format.
