How the games go on a budget laptop with “embedded”: a comparison of Ryzen 5 and Core i3

The author of the PC Support & Gaming Test channel tested two Lenovo laptop models (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 82H700KAIN and Lenovo IdeaPad S145) in six games. At the same time, the IdeaPad Slim 3 82H700KAIN is based on the Intel Core i3 11th Gen 1115G4, and the IdeaPad S145 is based on the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. The list of games taken for testing included: Grand Theft Auto V, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Red Dead Redemption 2, Far Cry 5.

V Grand Theft Auto V the model with Ryzen 5 showed slightly better results: on average, its frame rate varied around 55-60 fps. As for the Core i3, its average performance was 32-35 fps.

But in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the difference was very slight between the processors. Intel – 30-35 fps on average, AMD – 34-37 fps.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider also goes about the same in both cases. The Core i3 has an average performance of 30-34 fps, while the Ryzen 5 has 28-32 fps. AMD, as you can see, lags behind a little, but it is practically not felt.
