It has become the third car from Mahindra, which has received a 5 star rating for safety. Its starting price in the Indian market is Rs 11.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 19.19 lakh on its top end variant.

Global NCAP has awarded Mahindra Scorpio N 5 out of 5 stars for adult protection, scoring 29.25 out of 34 points during testing. At the same time, it has also been given a 3 out of 5 star rating for child protection. It got 28.93 out of 49 points for child protection. Talking about the total marks, it has got 58.18 marks out of 83.
Note- Adult Protection refers to how safe this car is for adults during an accident. At the same time, child protection means how safe this car is for children during an accident.
How was the testing done?
The Mahindra Scorpio-N was tested in basic safety specification fitted with dual front airbags and ABS. Electronic stability control (ESC) and side curtain airbags are not standard, although curtain airbags are standard in most units produced. The lack of three point seatbelts affected the child occupant protection result, limiting it to just three stars.
