Experts point out that there are two ways to store turkey leftovers. The first is on the shelf in the refrigerator. Then the leftovers will be considered edible for another three to four days, and the product must still be covered with foil until it cools, and then transferred to food containers.
The second storage option is in the freezer. Then the turkey can be eaten within a few months. However, the author warns: after three to six months, the product begins to deteriorate. Also, seal the meat tightly, or better yet, write down the date you put the turkey in the freezer.
