Honda touched a new milestone in the Indian market, sold 2 million vehicles within 25 years

New Delhi.
Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has achieved the milestone of manufacturing two million vehicles in the Indian market. Honda City was the company’s 20 lakhth model, which Honda rolled out at the production plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Let us tell you that Honda Cars started manufacturing vehicles in the Indian market in December 1997. The company worked under the “Make in India” vision of the Government of India in manufacturing 20 lakh vehicles.

Speaking on the occasion, Takuya Tsumura, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Limited said, “The historic milestone of 2 million production roll outs in India is a testament to Honda’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative over the past 25 years. . Honda Cars India has a presence in 242 cities in the Indian market. The company sells through its 330 dealerships in these cities. The company sells its premium sedan Honda City e-HEV, Honda City, family sedan Honda Amaze, premium hatchback Honda Jazz and sporty Honda WR-V in the Indian market.
