Honda Upcoming Motorcycles: Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor dominates the 100cc motorcycle segment in India, but now Honda is going to launch its 100cc bike soon to challenge it. Honda has announced the launch of a 100cc motorcycle in India on 15 March.
At present, the company has not shared much information about this new motorcycle. The company has released a teaser of this bike, according to which this bike will be durable and reliable for a long time, as well as give good mileage.
If reports are to be believed, this motorcycle could be brought under the Shine badge. The company can launch it under the name of Shine 100. However, it has not been officially confirmed. Currently, the Hero Splendor is the top selling 100cc commuter bike in India. Honda is yet to challenge Hero Splendor in this segment.
Although, Honda is selling CD 110 Dream and Livo in the 110cc segment but its sales are much lower than that of Splendor. Talking about Honda’s upcoming 100cc motorcycle, the company can launch this motorcycle with advanced features to challenge Splendor.
Honda can offer features like full digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, LED DRL, disc brake and Bluetooth connectivity in this motorcycle. A 4-speed gearbox can be given in this bike. This bike is expected to get a mileage of 60-65 kmpl.
Talking about Hero Splendor, it was first launched in 1994. The company is using the engine built on the HA05E platform in it. Over time its engine has been updated several times as per the emission norms. Honda is expected to use the same engine in its 100cc motorcycle.
