Honda New Scrambler Bike: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has not produced a CL motorcycle since the 70s. Although the company is considering bringing new models under its CL brand soon. Which includes 250cc, 300cc and 500cc models. Now Honda has patented the design of its new Scrambler motorcycle in India. But whether it is the CL300 or the upcoming new CL250 is not clear yet.

Will get same design

Honda has already showcased the CL300 bike in China, while the CL250 could also be unveiled soon, for which a patent has been filed in India as well. This bike can be CL 250 Scrambler or CL 300 Scrambler. The name of the model has not been mentioned in Honda’s patent paper. Both the 249cc and 286cc engines share the same block and covering. In which there is a difference between bore and stroke inside. Honda 250cc-300cc Scrambler, Patented in India The design of both the CL250 and CL300 will be similar. Both the motorcycles are derivatives of the Rebel cruiser bike from Honda. Except for the engine, the design language of the CL250, CL300 and CL500 will be the same. In this way, Honda is establishing a product identity that is dedicated to a single model lineup. KTM follows the same strategy, with the Duke, RC and Adventure ranges sharing the same frame and body, with the only difference being in their powertrains.

powertrain

Talking about the powertrain, the Honda CL250 Scrambler will get a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with DOHC setup, which is also offered in the Rebel 250. But there will be a slight difference in its power and torque. While the Honda CL300 gets the same 286cc engine from the CBR300R, this single-cylinder engine generates 27 PS of power, which is 5 PS less than the Rebel 300 cruiser.

Design

This includes a new subframe, fuel tank, wheels, tires and upswept exhaust, different from other scramblers. The new subframe comes with a flat seat with a height of 790 mm. The CL250 gets an upswept twin-tip exhaust which is not only stylish, but also enhances its wading ability in deep waters. It gets single disc brakes at both ends with single channel ABS, circular quad projector LED headlights, taillights and tear-drop fuel tank with circular turn indicators giving it a neo-retro look.

who will compete

When launched in India, this new Honda Scrambler motorcycle will compete with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. In which a 349cc engine is available.
